Devotional: Trust in the Lord

Scripture:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

Reflection:
Life often gives us more questions than answers. We want to plan, control, and figure everything out, yet God invites us to take a different approach—to trust Him fully. Trusting the Lord means placing our confidence not in our own wisdom or strength, but in His perfect plan.
When we lean on our own understanding, we become weighed down by fear, anxiety, and uncertainty. But when we surrender those burdens and acknowledge God in every part of our lives, He promises to guide our steps. His path may not always be the easiest or the one we would have chosen, but it will always lead to peace and purpose.

Application:
Ask yourself: Where in my life am I relying too much on my own understanding instead of trusting God?
Take one worry today and intentionally surrender it to Him through prayer.
Acknowledge God before making a decision, big or small, and invite Him to lead.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I confess that I often try to rely on my own strength and understanding. Today, I choose to place my trust in You. Teach me to acknowledge You in every part of my life, and guide me on the path You have set before me. Help me to walk with faith, not fear, knowing that You are always with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🌹
